Announcing the 1st BookBook Club:

We are very excited to announce a new Book Club series. Every six-ish weeks we will read a new memoir, collection of essays, novel, or anything else we find interesting that somehow, in a big or small way, relates to food. Our first pick is Hunger, by Roxane Gay, a book we already love deeply and think is important.“I ate and ate and ate in the hopes that if I made myself big, my body would be safe. I buried the girl I was because she ran into all kinds of trouble. I tried to erase every memory of her, but she is still there, somewhere. . . . I was trapped in my body, one that I barely recognized or understood, but at least I was safe.”

Our first TRIVIA NIGHT in August was a huge success! Expect categories to be various, beer innumerable, arancine aplenty. There will be three rounds + a lightning round, but only one epic trophy. Win Beer! Win Food! Study up renaissance man style!!!!!!!! Show up as a team, or swing by solo-- all are welcome! With Quizmaster Lucie Levine. All topics covered, not just food! 4 people max per team.

PIZZA NIGHTTHURSDAY → SEP 14$18, 7pmOnce a month Blue Plate gives way to PIZZA. Choose your own toppings/conduct your own symphony. Just show up!

BIRRE BALLZ HAPPY HOURSATURDAY/SUNDAY → SEP 16 + 17$3.50+Drinking amongst the books feels right. Thus, we are frying up a new arancine EVERY WEEKEND from opening until we run outta ballz. NY MAG THINKS THEY ARE THEE BEST. Free with the purchase of any drink. But yes—buy a beer, get a ball!

Learn every step of the process to making Sicily’s national treasure --- rice balls! Owner Paige Lipari divulges all the secrets to making creamy, tasty, perfectly crisp Arancine. Ticket includes a morning spritz.
On the menu:
beef ragu with peas + mozzarella, eggplant + toum (garlic sauce), and broccoli rabe + ricotta salata.

ROOF TO PLATE PIZZASUNDAY → SEP 24$15, 4-6pm
Join Archestratus & Eagle Street Rooftop Farm for the first Roof to Plate Pizza Sunday of the season! Come build your own pizza using superfresh, hyperlocal ingredients and edible flowers sourced from Eagle Street's Sunday market.
