THIS WEEK

STORIES MY FRIENDS TELL MEWEDNESDAY → MAY 31FREE, 7pmAs Donald Trump begins to destroy American society as we know it, it's more important than ever for creative people to build community and respond to nihilism with meaning. With that in mind, Stories My Friends Tell Me is a series (hosted by Chris Cobb) where friends have five to ten minutes each to tell an important story from their lives.

WOMEN'S TABLESATURDAY → JUN 10FREE, 11:30amWomen's Table is a monthly summit for all of us to come together in a sustained way and figure out a new path. To gather the evidence and be like little detectives of what we should burn, what we should foster, and what we should create. And of course, have a safe space to laugh and cry together.

The Anarchist Emma Goldman said, “If I can’t dance to it, it’s not my revolution.” So kick up your heels, raise a glass, and join us at Archestratus Books on June 14th at 7:30p for Revolutionary Feasts: The Saloon Agitators. We'll learn about how the saloons, cafes and theaters of the Lower East Side nurtured the “beautiful ideal” of anarchist revolution at the turn of the 20thcentury. Along the way we’ll meet “the priestess of Anarchy,” the “Rebel Girl” and a host of radical personalities as we honor the neighborhood’s history of rebellion. $25 includes a beer and some tasty period appropriate bar grub!

GREENPOINT CAT CLUB:Help us keep GP safe for catsSATURDAY → JUN 24FREE, 12pmIf you are passionate about the welfare of our neighborhood cats, join us for Greenpoint Cat Club, a new monthly meet-up group at Archestratus.
