STORIES MY FRIENDS TELL MEWEDNESDAY → MAY 31FREE, 7pmAs Donald Trump begins to destroy American society as we know it, it's more important than ever for creative people to build community and respond to nihilism with meaning. With that in mind, Stories My Friends Tell Me is a series (hosted by Chris Cobb) where friends have five to ten minutes each to tell an important story from their lives.

We are so excited to roast olives, roll up corn arancine, salt bake some Branzino, throw together a quick berry cobbler, pour ourselves some Fernet and watch the sun go down with our closest friends.

To gather the evidence and be like little detectives of what we should burn, what we should foster, and what we should create. And of course, have a safe space to laugh and cry together.

We'll learn about how the saloons, cafes and theaters of the Lower East Side nurtured the “beautiful ideal” of anarchist revolution at the turn of the 20thcentury. Along the way we’ll meet “the priestess of Anarchy,” the “Rebel Girl” and a host of radical personalities as we honor the neighborhood’s history of rebellion. $25 includes a beer and some tasty period appropriate bar grub!
