No. 1 →  Join us this Wednesday as we welcome our beloved, genius friend Natasha Pickowicz and the supporting Greenpoint food community to celebrate her first cookbook: More Than Cake: 100 Baking Recipes for Pleasure and Community.  The evening will be set up in three parts: a conversation with her friend Farideh Sadeghin in the bookshop, a book signing in the cafe, and then it's back to the bookshop for a dance party with DJ Steven Reker and a teeming flight of local foods from Archestratus, Chez Ma Tante, El Pinguino, Never Ending Taste, She Wolf Bakery and Tart Vinegar.   APR 20: Join us as we welcome author Anna Hezel to the shop to chat and celebrate her new book TIN TO TABLE with food and wine writer Tammie Teclemariam. Expect smoked trout dip with potato chips and good conversation. Books and tinned fishies for sale.

  TUES MAY 2 / a u t h o r  e v e n t  Join us as we welcome our friends Rick Easton and Melissa McCart to the shop! They wrote a wonderful new book on bread, but also all of our favorite things to eat. Come help us celebrate the heck outta them!

  WED MAY 3 / a u t h o r  e v e n t  Join us as we welcome author and pastry chef Claire Ptak to the shop! SAVE THE DATE and preorder a copy of LOVE IS A PINK CAKE as admission to the event. Additional non-book entry tickets are also available. Expect snacks, a moderated conversation, a Q + A, and signing. Beer and wine for sale.

  FRI MAY 12  / a u t h o r  e v e n t Join us as we celebrate the new edition of SÉANCE with artist and author Shannon Taggart. Shannon will be joined in conversation by Archestratus owner Paige Lipari, along with some special guests and surprises. Possible spoonbending. Stay tuned in.

  WED MAY 17 / C O M M U N I T Y  Every six-ish weeks we read a new memoir, a collection of essays, novels, or anything else we find interesting that somehow, in a big or small way, relates to food. Then we discuss. Read through Excellent Women by Barbara Pym and join us IN PERSON in April.

 FRI MAY 26 / C L A S S   Learn to prepare a full seasonal Sicilian meal with cook/owner of Archestratus Paige Lipari. Come ready to cook a bunch of dishes, stay long enough to mangia, and leave with some delicious recipes in hand.

OCT 6 /   I N   P E R S O N   C L A S S  In 3 friggin' hours Paige will teach you how to make killer RAINBOW COOKIES! A hands-on, fun-filled experience that engages all the senses.
