Another delightful gift: deeply discounted SPRING PANETTONE from Luigi Biasetto. "Throughout the inside, you’ll be delighted by pieces of fragrant candied orange peels. Cloud-like soft, elastic, and velvety, Colomba by Pasticceria Biasetto egg-laden bright yellow dough immediately jumps to the eye; a first bite reveals a perfectly balanced freshness, a clean flavor with delicate notes of honey and vanilla, enlivened by candied orange."

No. 4 → Really excited about this ZOOM event with author Jill Damatac and the brill Alicia Kennedy. With emotional intelligence, clarity, and grace, Dirty Kitchen explores fractured memories to ask questions of identity, colonialism, immigration, and belonging, and to find ways in which the ritual, tradition, and comfort of food can answer them.

A S E L E C T I O N
Why Cook brings together inspiring women — artists, creators, entrepreneurs, musicians, writers and farmers — and explores why they cook and how cooking and food anchor them in their life journeys. There are stories of hope and generosity, of courage and resilience, interwoven with lessons for cooking and eating, and deeply personal recipes. In the kitchens of Why Cook, you will explore questions of identity and the self, meet custodians of seed, soil and water, get a taste of the forest and the sea, find ways to navigate loneliness and grief, revel in the scent of fresh earth and woodsmoke, and above all cherish everyday moments and meals.

→ A Step Saving Kitchen from 1949. Can feel the Virgo's and Designers coming out of the woodwork: "We need at least 36 inches to make bread and 42 inches is a more desirable length for the mixing counter." Enjoy!
