ART NOW ON VIEW / i n   F O O D S hu · mil · i · a · ting stutters an exasperated Gena Rowlands in the 1977 film Opening Night. The utterance seems to be caused by the producer attempting to close the curtain on her increasingly unhinged performance (the play she is acting in is currently in previews in New Haven). However, what she is really humiliated by is the fact that she has been forced to become publicly unhinged in order to find a way to inhabit the role of The Second Woman. Humiliation is what happens when you work things out in public.

  WED JAN 25 / C O M M U N I T Y Cook your way through The Woks of Life by the Leung Family during DECEMBER and JANUARY and drop by with a dish on WED JAN 25 — all are welcome! It's a potluck party! It's mad civilized! It gives us a monthly dose of hope for the universe!
