TONIGHT at 7p / A Dinner with Ken Wiss / $65    One of the kindest people on the planet, and you can taste it in his food, KEN WISS grew up in the midwest, eating mostly white rice with lots of greens and just enough egg. He came out east to go to school, after which he started working for the Greenmarket. His first cooking job was at Marlow & Sons, and eventually he became the chef there, as well as at Diner. Ken is currently freelancing and traveling. You may find him riding his bike in search of ripe mulberries.   A picture of tonight's squid salad:

What ingredients can we call in and mangia during this powerful Cancer season? She will then, holding all this food wisdom in mind, lead a short 20ish-minute meditation. 

  THUR JUL 13 / C O M M U N I T Y  Cook your way through Food of the Italian Islands by Katie Parla during JUN and drop by with a dish on THUR JUL 13 — all are welcome! It's a potluck party! It's mad civilized! It gives us a monthly dose of hope for the universe!
