This book is good news, as tinned fish makes up a large portion of our diet and o how we are excited to diversify! Expect smoked trout dip with potato chips, deviled eggs, anchovy herb butter, and lots of pizza bianca to dip into tins o fish :)

Join us as we gather around the kitchen table and clasp hands for a chat with Shannon about the SÉANCE book. This book is so much more than you possibly may be assuming/projecting, etc. But si si, would not put spoon bending past us.

  WED APR 26 / C O M M U N I T Y  Cook your way through PULP: A Practical Guide to Cooking with Fruit by Abra Berens during APRIL and drop by with a dish on WED APR 26 — all are welcome! It's a potluck party! It's mad civilized! It gives us a monthly dose of hope for the universe!

  SAT APR 29 / C O M M U N I T Y  Vanessa will give a 15 to 20 minute talk about the connection between food and the present astrology. What ingredients can we call in and mangia during this powerful Taurus season? She will then, holding all this food wisdom in mind, lead a short 20ish-minute meditation. Free!

  TUES MAY 2 / a u t h o r  e v e n t  Join us as we welcome our friends Rick Easton and Melissa McCart to the shop! They wrote a wonderful new book on bread, but also all of our favorite things to eat. Come help us celebrate the heck outta them!

  WED MAY 3 / a u t h o r  e v e n t  Join us as we welcome author and pastry chef Claire Ptak to the shop! SAVE THE DATE and preorder a copy of LOVE IS A PINK CAKE as admission to the event.   TUE MAY 9 /  z o o m   e v e n t  Join us as we welcome author Dr. Alex D. Ketchum in conversation with writer Alicia Kennedy for this virtual event to discuss Alex's new book INGREDIENTS FOR REVOLUTION: A History of American Feminist Restaurants, Cafes, and Coffeehouses.

  FRI MAY 12  / a u t h o r  e v e n t Join us as we celebrate the new edition of SÉANCE with artist and author Shannon Taggart. Shannon will be joined in conversation by Archestratus owner Paige Lipari, along with some special guests and surprises. Possible spoonbending. Stay tuned in.

  WED MAY 17 / C O M M U N I T Y    Every six-ish weeks we read a new memoir, a collection of essays, novels, or anything else we find interesting that somehow, in a big or small way, relates to food. Then we discuss. Read through The Makioka Sisters by Junichiro Tanizaki and join us IN PERSON in May.

 FRI MAY 26 / C L A S S   Learn to prepare a full seasonal Sicilian meal with cook/owner of Archestratus Paige Lipari. Come ready to cook a bunch of dishes, stay long enough to mangia, and leave with some delicious recipes in hand.

OCT 6 /   I N   P E R S O N   C L A S S  In 3 friggin' hours Paige will teach you how to make killer RAINBOW COOKIES! A hands-on, fun-filled experience that engages all the senses.
